CAS(E) this Sketch #28

Well now that I have the post up for the right day (sorry for the delay), I hope you'll join us in another fun sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch! Check out the sketch...



For my card I dug out some smooch spritz and some stamps from Market Street Stamps, one of which I had the opportunity to illustrate for the company. I spritzed my card base first and then stamped the sentiment from Big Salutations and then stamped various circles in coordinating ink from the set Nuts about Nature.

CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #26

It is hard to believe that we are into May already! I love the sketch we have for this week over at CAS(E) this Sketch...very versatile!

Here is what I came up with for my sketch using some Close to My Heart stamps that I found stashed away in a bin never touched!

This is one of my favorite color combos from Stampin' Up! (tangerine tango, pacifico point and kiwi kiss). We would love to have you play along with us this week!

CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #25

Well, we are half way to 50 sketches now and I must say I really liked using this week's sketch, check out what Jackie Rockwell made up for us to play with over at CAS(E) this Sketch!

I ended up turning mine horizontally and tweaking the placement a smidge on the tags and sentiment, but I really like how it turned out, mainly because it had blue sky which is something we haven't seen a lot of lately! Here is what I came up with using a stamp set and dies from Papertrey Ink...

I will keep my fingers crossed that blue skies will grace us with their presence again sometime soon! In the meantime why don't you pop on over to the blog and check out all the inspiration and then play along!

CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #24 - Mistakes and all

Well it is time for another sketch this week at CAS(E) this Sketch and what a fun sketch it is, check it out...

I imagine we have all had a time when you can picture your card idea in your head, but when you go to recreate it, it doesn't quite turn out how you expected. For my card, I had pictured glitter strips going across the card and the spacing between each strip decreasing as it went from left to right, kind of like a bar code. Well when all said and done, I miscounted and was short a strip and there was no gradual decreasing. It wasn't really a fixable thing either as I'm sure some of you know how hard it is to get 2 sided tacky tape off your projects without ripping it to shreds. So here is my card in all its mistake glory :)

Loved seeing the amount of players for the challenge last week, can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for this week!

CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #23

Have I said how much I love this challenge lately? I have found that I am rediscovering the contents of my art room every week one card at a time and it has been great because I am finally getting to use up all the fabulous products I have hoarded over the years. Here is your jumping point for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge, check it out...

The last couple of weeks I've done completely stamped cards, so this week I tried out a card that had no stamping which allowed me to use up some of my sticker stash! Here is what I came up with...

I used 3 different sticker strips and a chipboard sticker all from the October Afternoon 5 and dime collection and then topped it off with a rub-on and pearl from Stampin' Up! An easy and quick CAS card in 5 minutes :) I'm looking forward to browsing the gallery this upcoming week, the design team would love to have you play along with us!

I've been waiting to get into my new Paper Smooches stamp set I heart art, it is such a fun set. I went with a one layer card with a popped up sentiment and turned the tag element into the whole sentiment for my card, here is what I came up with...
